Job Description:

The Deployed Operations Manager is the responsible party for managing, mentoring, and supervising Level 300 Site Leads, who in turn lead the crews that perform our Contractor Owned Contractor Operated (COCO) and extended duration international operations. They are Shield AI’s primary touchpoint for COCO crew information and, though the Senior Manager is the responsible party for COCO manning, the Manager works closely with the FSR Management team to provide personnel courses of action to the Senior Manager. They are responsible for mentoring, developing, and training COCO Site Leads and crews as needed to ensure mission readiness. They also provide technical support for deployed teams as needed.

What You'll Do:
  • Outcomes: Ensure Site Leads achieve mission impacts, fulfill contractual obligations, and delight customers.
  • Leadership and Supervision: Manage, mentor, and supervise Site Leads who lead crews on COCO and extended duration international operations.
  • Primary Touchpoint: Serve as Shield AI’s primary contact for COCO crew information, collaborating closely with the FSR Management team and Senior Manager.
  • Resource Coordination: Work with the FSR Supervisors on COCO staffing, providing Sr. Manager Deployed Operations courses of action and ensuring optimal crew employment.
  • Training and Development: Mentor, develop, and train Site Leads and crews to ensure mission readiness and operational excellence.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support to deployed teams as needed, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.


Required Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and mentoring operational teams.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop team members.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience in international operations and a deep understanding of Contractor Owned Contractor Operated Unmanned Aviation System operations.
  • Technical proficiency to provide necessary support to deployed teams.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previously served in a Site Lead capacity on a deployment or extended duration OCONUS operation
  • V-BAT AVO certified
  • V-BAT AVO instructor certified or ability to obtain
